Welcome to Wagging Tali’s, Healing Hearts! My fur babies and I are glad you found us. We are all about celebrating the profound impact that dogs have on our lives. Whether they have a wiggle butt with a stubby tail, or a tail so big it knocks things over, that wiggle butt, and that huge tail are signs of joy that can hardly be contained. That joy is contagious. Without even trying, dogs heal our hearts. God has blessed us beyond measure to allow us to care for these beautiful creatures. And I think you know what I mean when I say that they also care for us. What a perfect plan.
It‘s been about seven years since I felt compelled to share some of the healing my loved ones and I have experienced with the dogs in our lives. That’s when I began writing about my first Boston Terrier Sophie.
Sophie was instrumental in helping my parents along their sometimes very dark journey with dementia. She didn’t have any profound words to offer, and she didn’t feel the need to correct them when what they said didn’t make sense. She was just being herself. A small black and white dog with brown eyes as big as saucers, that took her job as ambassador of joy very seriously.
Sophie’s book is the first, but there will be more to follow!
